Test Policies & Procedures

 Rappahannock NAVHDA

ENTRIES:

Our 2010 entry fees are:  NA = $100.00     UPT = $125.00     UT = $125.00

Checks for entries should be payable to Rappahannock NAVHDA and mailed with completed entry forms to the test secretary, Alyssa Pease at 1229 Shenandoah Rd., Alexandria VA 22308.

Dogs must be registered with NAVHDA International to be entered in any test, for registration information please go to www.navhda.org/registry.html

Tests are filled on a first come, first served basis.  Your entry is not official until your completed entry form and fees are received and acknowledged by the test secretary.  You will receive an email confirmation of your entry.  If you have not received confirmation within two weeks of mailing your entry please follow up with the test secretary to ensure that your paperwork was received.

Application must be made on the current year’s official NAVHDA Test Entry form available online at www.navhda.org/testentry.pdf.  Forms from previous years will not be accepted.  Forms may be sent via mail or email, however, email entries will not be considered complete until entry fees are received by the test secretary.  All checks for confirmed test entries will be deposited on receipt.

Every effort will be made to schedule your dog for the preferred running date indicated on your entry form.  If your preferred date is unavailable you will be notified upon receipt of your entry and offered the option of running on another day.

WAITING LIST:

If there are no openings available on any of the scheduled test dates you will be notified upon receipt of your entry and offered a place on the waiting list.  The waiting list will be maintained on a first come, first served basis.  Checks received for entries placed on the waiting list will be held until such time as there is room in the test and the handler accepts a test slot, at which time the check will be deposited.  Checks from entrants who elect to withdraw from the waiting list or for whom there is not room by the time of the test will be destroyed.  Anyone on the waiting list who discovers that they no longer need or want to be on the list should contact the test secretary as soon as possible so that the next person in line can be moved up.

CANCELLATIONS:

All cancellations must be received in writing by the test secretary via mail or email.  Your cancellation will likewise be confirmed.  If you have not received confirmation within two weeks of submitting your cancellation notice please follow up with the test secretary to ensure that your request was received.

REFUNDS:

In all cases a $25.00 administrative fee will be deducted from any refund issued.  A refund will only be issued if there is a replacement entry available to fill the slot of the withdrawn dog and the test is full on the date in question.  If both conditions are not satisfied no refund can be issued.  If a withdrawal is made as the result of a medical condition of either the dog or handler, written documentation from a veterinarian or physician should be received by the test secretary no later than 15 days after the last day of the test to be considered for a refund exception.  Anyone not eligible for a refund may elect to defer their entry to a subsequent test.  This must be confirmed with the test secretary prior to the new test filling up.  Any moves to a different calendar year will require submission of a new entry form, and any changes of test level which would incur a higher fee will require the entrant to pay the difference.

TESTING DAY:

Please plan to be onsite ready to run your dog by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled test day unless otherwise instructed.  You will not receive a test or running order in advance; the judges may adjust the sequence and order of the test at any time during the day based on weather conditions, test levels and number of dogs being run, the presence of bitches in season, etc…  You should plan to be onsite all day as a full test can easily run until the late afternoon or early evening.  Lunch is available for purchase onsite and there is generally a potluck supper in the evening to which all participants are invited.  Directions to the test site and accommodations information are available on the chapter website at www.rappahannock-navhda.com.
